Set up in two minutes

How to start a GameBash

Your TV is the stage. Phones are the controllers. Here's the two-minute setup.

1Open PlayGameBash.com in the screen’s browser.

2The host scans the code on the screen.

3Everyone joins from their phone.

4Pick a game and let GameBash run the show.

Which screen do you have?

Pick the setup that looks most like yours.

A TV or screen with a browser

  1. 1Open playgamebash.com/tv on the shared screen.

  2. 2On the host phone, start a room.

  3. 3Scan the screen’s Bash code on the host phone to link it, or enter it instead.

  4. 4Everyone joins at playgamebash.com/join with the room code, or scans the QR.

No installs. No accounts. Just open the browser.

Use this screen as your TV

  1. 1On the homepage, tap “📺 Use this screen as your TV?”, then “Tap again to confirm”.

  2. 2This device becomes the shared screen, with no code to enter.

  3. 3Everyone else joins the room from their phone.

The second tap is on purpose, so a stray tap cannot hijack a phone.

My TV has no browser

  1. 1The Fire TV app is coming to the Fire TV Appstore.

  2. 2Until then, use the Silk browser on Fire TV and open playgamebash.com/tv.

  3. 3Or mirror a browser tab: Chromecast “Cast tab” from Chrome, AirPlay screen mirroring, or Miracast.

  4. 4Mirror playgamebash.com/tv, then use the code or QR to join.

Mirroring adds a little lag, and the mirrored device must stay awake. More TV apps are on the way.

No big screen at all

  1. 1Start a room and choose a phone-party game.

  2. 2Each player joins from their own phone.

  3. 3The host phone runs the show while every phone is its own screen.

  • Who Said That?
  • Word Bash
  • Closest Wins
  • Quick Bash
  • What's That?!
  • Fake It

These are the phone-party games. Other games need a shared screen.
